A Sequoia is probably a nice truck, but it can never be a Land Cruiser.
It’s like 66 out, sunny and beautiful, so I went down to Conimicut Point after picking up dinner since it was on my way home. I took that picture and this one:
And that is just a great looking rig. Plus the warm weather has even banished the squeaks to the netherworld, so it was just an A+ drive.
So I’ll keep the Cruiser and look to pick up a cheap 3rd/project. I’m looking at LS400s and SC300/400s, so...there’s that.

Sequoias are comfortable people movers. They’re larger and more spacious than the LC but not as capable offroad. Still, pretty decent in snow and light offroad stuff.

Good pick.

You should look at GS400s. 1UZ but lighter and better handling.

That’s the kind of logical thinking that got me to put a FS sign on the Westy.. Now 4 years later I wish it was in the driveway every day...

3rd project?! Sounds like you need a 928

I had a LX450 and sold it, kinda regret it. I’ll sell you my SC400 though if you’re interested.

My wife would actually murder me. I brought home a Corvette once, I almost got divorced and I wasn’t even married yet.

Also they will probably go up in value so you have going for you

I like the look of the SC, that would probably be my top choice, but an LS would be nice because we take a lot of 6-7 hour road trips and the LS lives for that shit. I have looked at GS400s though, I just don’t care for that body style in the price I can afford, haha.

Totally. I like that I can put miles on it and it doesn’t really effect the resale value.

It’s an absolutely wonderful thing.

My LS400 lives on the interstate and my parking garage. Between Nashville, Birmingham, and Knoxville I’ve put the miles on it.

That was kinda my thought process, it would do ‘Land Cruiser-lite’ stuff as far as winter and light off-roading while probably being better on-road. But the LC is just cooler, so it stays.

I rarely go logical when it comes to cars, but historically that’s when I do well. When I buy things I just want I lose money, when I buy things thinking I might need to sell them I make money.

If you needed more space the Sequoia does have quite a lot, especially the current gen

Tell her you are fixing it up for her.
